Ways to help get the feng shui vibe right when you long for romance in your life.
You’re certainly not alone if you wish you had a special someone in your life. Maybe you’ve seen many of your friends fall in love, or even just in like. You watch movies that feature couples finally finding each other and wonder when you will find the one for you.
There’s a chance you could be sabotaging yourself and not even know it. Take a look around your house or apartment. Does your home put off a vibe that welcomes? Or is the first thing a visitor sees books and magazines strewn around and dirty dishes on every table top?
The first place to start, and this is elementary feng shui, is to tidy up your abode. You’ll read this in most any book on feng shui. First things first. And the first thing is to pick up the clutter and get some semblance of neatness. (Before you say you’re a natural slob, don’t worry. We can work around that.)
If you’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places, do what you can at home. You’ve tidied up (right?). Let’s start with your front room. As you walk in, take a look at the southwest corner. From the entryway, the right corner farthest away from you is the SW corner. This is where you will be creating most of your chi (that's the vibe) for a romantic partner.
If you cleaned up everything else but piled it all in that corner, you’ll have to rework your plan. Are you putting all else before a happy, healthy lovelife? It's time to change that.
Now stroll into your bedroom and see what you have in your romance corner. Take a look at your bed. Do you use your bed as a desk? Do you have files and books and papers all over it? You say you want a loving relationship, but if you have a chance at one, do you really have room in your life? Make room. Make your lovelife a priority.
Wander through your home. You know what to do with what has accumulated in your romance corners. File it, pitch it, recycle it, donate it. Make room for love to come to you. Once you have done that with each room, do the same with your desk (your real one, not your bed), your bulletin board, and your backyard. It’s time for a new you. And that new you just might be part of a new couple.
