Feng shui cures can counteract feng shui gone awry. Use tried-and-true cures, or create special ones that fit your own life and personality.
Life is not perfect. Even thousands of years ago, when the concept of feng shui was just coming together, it was known that some things do not go as planned. As John Lennon so eloquently put it, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” The early feng shui believers knew this, too, and came up with the idea of feng shui cures in order for us to be able to work around the unforeseen circumstances that life throws at us. Cures are for those instances that occur in feng shui that are counterproductive or bring about negative vibes. Feng shui cures can be useful in situations when your perception of the world is skewed by something as simple as a picture in a wooden frame placed in the wrong area of your bagua. Maybe you have a romantic picture of you and your honey that you put on a dresser in your southwest corner. You really (really) want to keep the picture there because you’re trying to get your romance vibes moving in the right direction. But soon after you put the picture there, he stopped calling. What the heck’s going on? The southwest corner (romance) is generally not a good spot for wood. This can be tough to figure out. Sometimes you may mix elements that you thought weren’t supposed to work together without a bad result. And other times, elements that are supposed to work nicely together just don’t. Life doesn't always make sense; logic doesn’t always matter in feng shui either. Feng shui is certainly not exact. We have to play with it. (And do play. Don’t take it or yourself too seriously.) Try making up your own cures. If you believe it’s a cure, it will be for you. Live on the edge. Let’s work on attracting wealth. Your southeast corner is your wealth corner. Make up a cure today and put it in the southeast corner of your front room for a week. See what cool changes come about in that time. If nothing happens yet, keep it there for a month. Just to amp it up a bit, put one of the same cures in your bedroom in the southeast corner. Now relax. Let your own personal cure do its thing. Breathe….breathe…breathe… Let me know what happens!
